We have installed two high memory DELL R820 servers into the 800 series.
Each server has four sockets with six cores of 2.4GHz each. There are also thirty two 32GB DIMMS making up 1TB of RAM, although these memory chips are only 1066MHz. Access to these servers will be granted only if researchers can demonstrate a specific need for large amounts of RAM.

The power consumption during the test peaked at 280W which gives an average of 1.52GF/W, which is fairly efficient. If we could sustain this throughout our cluster this would place us at roughly number 112 on the current Green500 list.
