We recently installed CASA, Common Astronomy
Software Applications package which supports the data post-processing
needs of the next generation of radio astronomical telescopes such as
ALMA and VLA. It has a command line iPython interface and the ability
to export interactive X-sessions from a HPC job to the user's desktop. Below is an image of us doing something dramatically scientific while
testing the package on our HPC cluster.
