We recently installed Monolix<\/a>, a model based drug development computing package by Lixoft.<\/p>\n

Intallation of a floating cluster license was required to support multiple users making use of the software simultaneously.<\/p>\n

Procedure to install a floating license:<\/p>\n

Start an X session
\nInstall Monlix and at the end of the install process cancel all license request windows. The software should be installed in <base>\/Lixoft\/<\/p>\n

Download and install the license management server<\/a> to a server with the same common network software folder into <base>\/Lixoft\/tools\/rlm<\/p>\n

Make all relevant files executable.<\/p>\n

Edit rlmd.sh<\/p>\n

\r\nrlmuser=root\r\nrlmdir=<base>\/Lixoft\/tools\r\nrlmlic=<base>\/Lixoft\/MonolixSuite2016R1\/config\/system\/access\/activate.lic\r\n<\/pre>\n
Run rlm (in the foreground for now)<\/p>\n
In a browser open “license.server.ip”:5054 and start the license application<\/p>\n
Enter activate.lixoft.net
\nEnter lixoft
\nEnter key: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx<\/p>\n
Enter number of licenses, we choose 18 as we have 18 nodes.<\/p>\n
The license folder <base>\/Lixoft\/tools\/rlm
\nand then copy activate.lic to <base>\/Lixoft\/MonolixSuite2016R1\/config\/system\/access<\/p>\n
Now restart the rlm server, this time as a background daemon and leave it running forever.<\/p>\n
Make sure that all relevant files in <base>\/Lixoft\/MonolixSuite2016R1\/bin are set executable.<\/p>\n
Login to the cluster as a normal user, export a display and run monolix.sh<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
