ICTS engineers need to make an urgent update to the UCT VPN today, to address the current connectivity problem that some customers are experiencing when accessing this service.<\/p>\n
During the change all active VPN connections will be closed. If you are working on any files and using the VPN, please save and close your work before 10:00 p.m. tonight (20th<\/sup> July).<\/p>\n Why is this problem reoccurring?<\/strong><\/p>\n UCT has a limited number of licences available to access the UCT VPN. Once all the licences have been allocated, those trying to initiate a new connection thereafter may experience slowness, or the process may fail outright.<\/p>\n What to expect once the change is implemented<\/strong><\/p>\n To better manage capacity, ICTS engineers are implementing a change that will limit VPN connections to 12-hour periods.<\/p>\n When you access the VPN after the change is implemented, a timer will appear on the AnyConnect client indicating how much time you have remaining on your current connection.<\/p>\n When you reach your time limit you will be required to re-authenticate to continue using this service.<\/p>\n Remember to disconnect from the VPN when access is no longer required<\/strong><\/p>\n Once you\u2019re done using the UCT VPN, we encourage you to please disconnect to allow your fellow colleagues to access this service too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Dear UCT colleagues, ICTS engineers need to make an urgent update to the UCT VPN today, to address the current connectivity problem that some customers are experiencing when accessing this service.
