These nodes have been placed on hold and the reason for us doing this is so that we can ‘drain’ them of jobs prior to upgrading and patching.  We prefer not to do this while user’s jobs are running even though it’s mostly benign, so by placing a hold on the node the jobs complete in time but no new jobs are submitted to these nodes, meaning that eventually we can upgrade them safely.<\/p>\n
