The first from 15 to 17 August 2012 at the CHPC offices in Cape Town, the second from 20 to 22 August 2012 at the CSIR Meraka Institute in Pretoria.<\/div>\r\n<div><\/div>\r\n<div>The workshops will cover the following topics:<\/div>\r\n<div>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Overview of MPI, OpenMP and Hybrid Programming.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Power and Performance trade-off.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Performance Tuning and Optimization.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Challenges in Petaflops Era.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>High Performance Computing tools.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Optimization ideas.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div>The workshops will be presented by expert, Ganesan Narayanasamy, Senior HPC Development and Solution Manager: Systems Hardware Development of the IBM Systems and Technology Group. Ganesan has over 15 years of experience from IBM in India and the USA where he worked as a Technical Leader of a number of teams such as: High Availability Cluster, High Performance System Management and HPC Development.<\/div>\r\n<div><\/div>\r\n<div>The CHPC cordially invites you to attend the workshop.
